The Roscongress Foundation’s Healthy Life project will organize a series of expert discussions at the Eastern Economic Forum. The business programme sessions will focus on such issues as territorial planning in the healthcare system, the global drug security system, innovative technologies, personalized medicine, and demographics.

The expert discussions will be attended by: Russian First Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Fisenko, State Duma Deputy Chairwoman Irina Yarovaya, Deputy Chairman of the Primorsky Territory Government and Minister of Health of the Primorsky Territory Anastasia Khudchenko, Chairman of the Expert Council on the Regulation of Medicines and Medical Devices of the State Duma’s Committee on Health Protection Alexander Petrov, Association of European Businesses CEO Tadzio Schilling, Director of the chain of clinics RZD-Medicine, a branch of Russian Railways and General Director of RZD-Medicine Yelena Zhidkova, Director of the Russian Research Institute of Health of the Russian Ministry of Health Olga Kobyakova, Chairwoman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva, and General Director of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre Foundation and Chairman of the Public Council under the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Konstantin Abramov, among others.

One of the key sessions – ‘Protecting the Population as the Basis of Sociocultural Development in Russia’ – will focus on developing demographics in Russia. “Protecting people’s health is a major task of the government that can only be solved with an integrated approach: awareness of the Russian identity, cultivation of the institution of the family and large families, dissemination of the principles of a healthy lifestyle, and the implementation of specialized state programmes. The Healthy Life project always pays great attention to demographic issues. For us, this is a cross-cutting topic that is addressed at all our business platforms,” said Anastasia Stolkova, First Deputy CEO for Development and Director of the Healthcare Directorate of the Roscongress Foundation.

The Healthy Life ecosystem is a specialized platform for government representatives and expert communities to engage in a direct dialogue at the national and international levels in order to jointly search for practical proposals to address key health issues. The project also plays an active role in the government’s social policy and is responsible for the concept of creating a healthy society as a benchmark for Russia’s development. The ecosystem is a sustainable development tool that is used to advance Russia as a driver of the global health agenda.
