Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the Healthy Life Forum. The greetings were read out by Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.

“Today, St. Petersburg once again welcomes guests from numerous regions of Russia – national healthcare leaders, scientists, doctors, and representatives of the government and business. And for the first time – delegations from countries of the Commonwealth [of Independent States] and Serbia. Traditionally, your agenda includes a wide range of issues related to improving people’s health, increasing life expectancy, enhancing the quality and accessibility of medical care, and introducing modern approaches to combatting dangerous diseases,” Putin said.

Putin said he was confident that the international format of the Forum, the extensive business programme, and the creative, friendly atmosphere would enable participants to make the most of their time, share experience and best practices, and establish professional contacts.

“The ideas and initiatives put forward during the meeting, along with your joint recommendations and proposals, will contribute to the effective development of national healthcare systems and strengthen cooperation between our states in this extremely important area,” Putin said.
