The 2nd National Congress with international participation “National Healthcare 2023” has released the architecture of the event’s business programme on its official website. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation. The organizing partner of the event is the Russian Research Institute of Health of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The Congress will take place at the Russia International Exhibition and Forum at the VDNH.
The plenary session ‘National Healthcare: Wide is My Motherland’ will be attended by the heads of Russia’s regions. The results of the healthcare industry’s development, as well as best cases and practices of the regions, will be presented at the Congress, and the participants will hold a dialogue to discuss the future trajectory of the healthcare industry in the coming years.
“This year, the Congress is being held as part of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum. We will recap the work of healthcare system over the past few years and present leading achievements, victories, discoveries, and development plans. Despite all the challenges of recent years, the industry has shown sustainable development, and the level of the public’s satisfaction with medical care is on the rise. This is a key indicator for us. Our job is to ensure the accessibility and quality of medical care to the residents of all regions of our country. This is precisely what the efforts of every industry worker aim to achieve,” Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said.
The two-day Congress programme includes more than 25 expert discussions on some of the most crucial issues for Russian healthcare, including the digitalization of the industry, the development and regulation of drug circulation, infectious safety, combatting non-communicable diseases to help preserve Russia, medical science at the forefront of the country’s technological sovereignty, and territorial planning in healthcare. The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare is co-organizing a thematic session titled ‘Medicine and Quality’. In addition, during the Congress, awards will be presented to the best doctors and medical workers with secondary education, as well as the best young teachers at medical universities.
The event will conclude with the lecture ‘Healthcare Development in the Russian Federation: Past, Present, Future’.
The Congress will bring together representatives of the federal and regional authorities, industry leaders, foreign experts, strategic partners, and members of the business community who support the universal social mission of protecting the health of the Russian population.
