Wide Range of Healthcare Development Issues Discussed at EEF 2021

A number of sessions covering a wide range of issues related to healthcare development took place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum business programme. The expert discussions were organized by the Roscongress Foundation’s Healthy Life Project, with the Content Foundation for the Development of Expert and Analytical Activities serving as Intellectual partner.

Healthy Life Project sessions were included in the Forum business programme as well as in the programme of the Building Trust Area. Taking part in the expert discussions were Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Victor Fisenko, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Oleg Salagay, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency Veronika Skvortsova, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Yarovaya, Head of the Subcommittee on Circulation of Medicines, Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry, Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Health Protection Aleksandr Petrov, Director of the National Medical Research Center for Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Oksana Drapkina, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev, Head of the Central Healthcare Directorate of Russian Railways Elena Zhidkova, Deputy Chairman, Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Galina Izotova, Vice Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Lilia Ovcharova, and Senior Vice President International Business of CanSio Biologics Pierre Morgon among others.

“Healthy Life Project expert discussions brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, public organizations, and the business community to address issues related to healthcare development in the Far East and the country as a whole. A whole range of programmes aimed at increasing the accessibility of both primary and advanced medical care is being implemented in the Far East. The geographical position of the Far East and its proximity to countries of the Asia-Pacific Region open up a wide range of opportunities for the development of medical tourism”, Head of the Subcommittee on Circulation of Medicines, Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry, Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Health Protection Alexander Petrov said.
