As part of the annual international business forum ‘World of Opportunities’, which takes place on 13–15 November 2024 in the UAE, Dubai, a discussion on ‘The Healthcare Landscape of the Future’ was held, organized by the Healthy Life project. The World of Opportunities annual international business forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and Synergy Corporation.
The healthcare of the future is inextricably linked to revolutionary discoveries in the field of medical sciences, rapid development of technologies – from artificial intelligence, telemedicine and remote monitoring to medical robotics. Breakthrough advances in microbiology and genetics make it possible to make personalized precision medicine the standard of healthcare, to tailor prevention and therapy to each individual. A preventive model, based on lifestyle modification and early detection of diseases, is becoming a priority in the healthcare structure and reducing the burden of major chronic non-communicable diseases in the world. Global intersectoral collaboration is essential to achieve effective and sustainable solutions to transforming the health of the future.
The discussion was moderated by Ekaterina Priyezzheva, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
“Discussion on technology development and breakthroughs in medical science, personalized medicine, prevention and early detection of diseases is critical to shaping modern healthcare and laying the foundations for its future. Such discussions facilitate international cooperation, which serves as a driver for developing innovative medical and pharmaceutical products, implementing high-tech solutions and mobilizing scientific and industrial resources. Collaboration at the research and production level, as well as the transfer of modern medical and digital technologies, drug safety and the search for out-of-the-box solutions are key aspects that set the agenda for such cooperation. These discussions not only contribute to the creation of common markets and the formation of an investment climate, but also expand the potential of the industry, which ultimately improves the quality of life of people around the world,” Ekaterina Priyezzheva emphasized.

Joint research and knowledge sharing at the international level contribute to the development of innovative treatment methods, personalized medicine and preventive programmes, creating unique opportunities to solve complex medical problems and improve the quality of life of citizens of our countries,” said Fatima Al Kaabi, CEO of Emirates Drug Establishment, UAE.
“The development of cooperation and joint projects in the healthcare sector between Russia and Middle Eastern countries is of tremendous importance for the exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as for improving the quality of medical care and the health of the population of our countries. Russia and the United Arab Emirates have traditionally maintained a steady dialogue on a wide range of issues, including scientific research, innovative technologies and educational programs. It is crucial for us not only to preserve but also to multiply the points of convergence of our interests in order to create a solid foundation for future initiatives. The discussion has become an important platform for such a dialogue, which will strengthen the foundation and form new vectors of effective partnership to achieve the set goals in the field of healthcare,” stressed Anastasia Stolkova, First Deputy CEO for Development of the Roscongress Foundation, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
In the course of the discussion, experts discussed what prospects for health saving open up modern opportunities of medical science and technology development; what priority areas model the agenda of international cooperation in the development of global health; what mechanisms and platforms for sharing knowledge and data should facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation in research and education, accelerating scientific discoveries and bringing the healthcare of the future closer, and many others.
The annual World of Opportunities International Business Forum is a key event for the development of partnership relations between Russia and the countries of the global South. The Forum pays special attention to topics that have a significant impact on the development of society and the economy in today's realities.
