Healthy Life Forum: Towards 80+ to offer advanced training for industry professionals

25 January 2019

The first Healthy Life Forum: Towards 80+ will take place on the opening day of the Russian Investment Forum on 13 February 2019.

The key themes of the Forum’s business programme are: ‘Demographics: On the Threshold of Societal Change,’ ‘The Contribution of Healthcare to Quality of Life,’ and ‘Infrastructure for Healthy Living,’ which feature a number of panel sessions that are accredited by the Commission of the Coordinating Council for the Development of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education (CMPE) and provide advanced training for healthcare workers with a specialization in the ‘Organization of Healthcare and Public Health.’ More details are available on the official website of the CMPE Coordinating Council.

The organizing partner of the Forum is the Society for the Organization of Healthcare and Public Health, which is one of the providers of the CMPE system in Russia and helps to improve the professional development of managerial personnel in the healthcare sector as well as enhance their knowledge and professional skills in implementing national projects that aim to increase Russians’ life expectancy.

“Today, healthcare is one of the few industries that is attractive for all kinds of so-called ‘effective managers.’ Lots of people are trying to take the lead here, but very few of them can create and properly organize the provision of healthcare at all levels, which is why healthcare, like any industry, must be managed by professionals who continuously improve their skills and level,” said Professor and Ph.D. Ruslan Khalfin, the President of the Society for the Organization of Healthcare and Public Health and Director of the Graduate School of Public Health Management of the Institute of Leadership and Public Health Management at Sechenov University.

The Forum is held with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and aims to become a specialized platform for a direct dialogue between government officials and the expert community as well as the joint search and study of practical proposals for the implementation of national projects that aim to solve the problem of increasing the healthy life expectancy of Russian citizens.

Detailed information is available on the official website of the event. The Roscongress Foundation is the organizer of the Forum.
