Achievements in Russian Healthcare Industry to Be Presented at Plenary Session of NATIONAL HEALTHCARE 2023 Congress

The 2nd National Congress with international participation “NATIONAL HEALTHCARE” has released a list of the participants in the official opening and plenary session of the event on its official website. The session will be moderated by Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

The opening ceremony of the Congress will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Inna Svyatenko, and State Duma Deputy Chair Anna Kuznetsova.

The participants in the plenary session include: Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Governor Dmitry Artyukhov, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, Chelyabinsk Region Governor Alexey Teksler, Co-Chairman of the All-Russian Union of Patients Yury Zhulev, General Director of the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Viktor Dmitriev, and Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Pinevich.

“The Congress will present the major achievements in the healthcare industry, recap the results of the industry’s work over the past few years, and outline plans for its further development. The Congress will be attended by representatives of all regions of the Russian Federation. The business programme covers key issues that need to be resolved for the further development of the healthcare system,” Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov said.

The plenary session will focus on strategic issues. The participants will discuss the healthcare industry’s achievements in implementing Russia’s national goals and government initiatives that contribute to these positive changes. They will talk about infrastructural and organizational transformations in the domestic healthcare system, including the development of primary care. An important aspect of the discussion will be how innovations are being incorporated into regional healthcare practices and how patients and society assess this transformation as a whole.

Other participants in the Congress will include representatives of the federal and regional authorities, medical and scientific communities, non-commercial organizations, and the business community, as well as leaders of the domestic and foreign healthcare sectors.

The Congress is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Health and the Roscongress Foundation. The organizing partner is the Russian Research Institute of Health of the Russian Ministry of Health. The event will take place on 1–2 December 2023 as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH.
