Russian Labour Safety Week 2021 to Address Development of Corporate Healthcare

The Roscongress Foundation’s Healthy Life project will organize a number of business programme sessions at the 6th Russian Labour Safety Week, which will take place on 6–9 September 2021 at the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi.

The Healthy Life project’s sessions were included in the ‘Occupational Medicine’ and ‘Safety Culture Development’ pillars of the business programme and encompass a wide range of corporate health development issues.

Participants in the session ‘Corporate Health Culture: The Foundation of the Strategy for Creating a Healthy Society’ will discuss health protection trends in the manufacturing sector of the economy, successful corporate programmes for health protection and the prevention of occupational diseases, government support measures that encourage employers to introduce corporate health programmes as well as issues rehabilitation after diseases resulting from professional activities.

“Citizens taking a responsible approach to their own health is the foundation of a healthy society. The corporate environment can and should be the place where health values ​​are transmitted and reinforced. In addition, programmes to prevent socially significant diseases among workers and educational activities that aim to increase awareness of health and safety in the workplace are of particular importance,” Russian Deputy Minister of Health Oleg Salagay said.

Participants in the ‘Emotional Safety’ session will look at ways to provide preventive emotional health care and reduce stress in the workplace, prevent professional burnout as well as corporate mental health programmes.

The Healthy Life Project is a specialized platform for a direct dialogue between government officials and expert communities at the national and international level to jointly search for practical proposals to address key health-related issues.
